A Night of Music, Mission, and Meaning
5enses Gala of Giving at The Federal May 3

As we all face an uncertain political and economic future, 5enses is doing what it does best, bringing people together as a community. On Saturday May 3, we’re organizing the inaugural Gala of Giving, a benefit event to raise crucial support for three local nonprofits doing transformative work: the Coalition for Compassion and Justice, Northland Cares, and US Vets Prescott.

This special evening of great food, live music, and community will take place at The Federal, one of Prescott’s most iconic downtown venues, featuring catered cuisine by El Gato Azul and performances by beloved local artists, including The CheekTones, Kaileena Martin and more, all in support of organizations that help keep our community safe, healthy and housed.

A gathering with purpose

The Gala of Giving isn’t just another night out — it’s a heartfelt response to real and pressing needs.

“Prescott is built on care, creativity, and community,” says John Duncan, publisher of 5enses and event co-organizer. “As potential funding cuts loom, we wanted to act now, before our local safety net is stretched too thin. This event is about preserving and reinforcing services that help people through their hardest moments.”

The nonprofits at the heart of this event represent three essential lifelines:

CCJ provides food, job support, case management, and transitional housing, including their innovative Second Chance Housing and coming Paloma Village, a 25-unit modular-housing community.

Northland Cares delivers urgent, stigma-free health care across Yavapai County, with same-day HIV/STI treatments, in-home testing kits and community outreach programs. US Vets Prescott helps veterans access housing, job training, and mental-health support, reducing veteran homelessness and restoring dignity.

These organizations don’t just serve vulnerable populations, they strengthen the whole community by stepping up when it matters most.

Music, art, and advocacy

The Gala blends activism with artistry. Headlining the music lineup are The CheekTones, known for their high-energy Americana sound, along with the soulful, acoustic-driven voice of Kaileena Martin, plus more special musical guests to be announced. “Art and music have always played a role in uplifting communities,” Duncan says. “Bringing those gifts to an event like this creates something unforgettable.”

Following the main event upstairs, guests can choose to continue the celebration at an exclusive after-party downstairs at The Federal. Entry to the after-party will require a separate ticket and feature more music, mingling and mission-driven fun.

Every ticket purchased, every meal enjoyed, every note sung, it all contributes directly to the mission of keeping Prescott’s most vulnerable citizens housed, healthy and supported. Whether you're a longtime advocate or new to the cause, the 5enses Gala of Giving is your invitation to connect with the heart of Prescott — and help shape a stronger, more compassionate future.

A space built for community

The Federal is a cornerstone of Prescott’s cultural scene. Once the federal courthouse, it’s now home to dynamic events, concerts and fundraisers. Powered by NoCo Productions, The Federal has become a go-to venue for groups looking to inspire change. “We’ve always wanted this space to amplify community voices,” says Dayna Hufford, general manager of NoCo. “This event perfectly reflects that vision — using our venue to make a tangible impact.”
